Riley is a male, liver and white German Shorthaired Pointer. He was born on May 5, 2006 and is the son of Montana and Griffin. He is very calm and quiet in the house, but he has loads of energy in the field. He loves the water and will jump at any chance to swim and retrieve.
Riley was an amazing success when he first started his career in the show ring. He won a Group 4th, Best of Breed (over specials), and Best Puppy numerous times. He has finished his Canadian Show Champion title and has also earned his Canine Good Neighbour title. In the spring of 2011, Riley completed his Companion Dog title at the Nationals. He placed with three seconds and one third, against some very stiff competition. In 2012, Riley earned his Rally Novice title. In a large entry, he won a High in Trial with a score of 99/100. He also took two second placements and one third. This title was started and completed in two days, back to back.
Riley has also been busy working for Sherri Hall at Bye Bye Birdie, a local company that helps to control the Canadian goose population. Riley uses his natural ability to locate new nests and keeps the geese back from the handler while she works at the nest. The shorthair’s nose is perfect for the job!
Riley is a wonderful addition to our kennel, and is now available for stud services. His hips and eyes are both clear. He fathered a litter of 13 puppies to Riis (CH. Big Country’s Brauner Zaucher), and was bred three times to Roxy, producing 11 puppies in March 2012, 13 puppies in 2013 and 16 in 2015. He produces both liver pups and liver/white.
